Description of Research Efforts
Grid Computing is wide-area computing across multiple administrative domains. There are many issues that must be solved in order to deliver a "Grid Computing Infrastructure". The issues our research projects address include security, scheduling, programmability, and usability.
Current Projects
- Design, Development, and Deployment of the Web Services Resource Framework (WSRF) on the .NET Framework (WSRF.NET)
- Design and Deployment of the University of Virginia Campus Grid (UVaCG)
- Enhancing Grid Security by Leveraging Authentication and Authorization Infrastructures (through a partnership with the San Diego Supercomputing Center)
- Policy Management in Grids (Early Career Principal Investigator Program of the Office of Science of US Department of Energy)
- Dependable Grids (NSF ITR)
