The most common mistake people make is working just for the money. By this I mean that they decide what job or career to pursue based on the salary. This is a huge mistake that will prevent you from being as successful as you can be. Like my father always says, "Don‘t work for the money; work hard and the money will come." The truth is that any field-be it IT, banking, art or writing-can lead to big money. The key to success is being the best person in your field. To be the best you must have a passion for what you do so that you wake up every morning wanting to be the best. If that motivation is there, the money will come to you in buckets. What happens to most people is that they work for the money and they are never satisfied because the money is what they focus on, instead of job satisfaction. Money, Money, Money!!! No amount is ever enough. If you are currently looking for a job, think deeply about what you really want to be doing with your life. Ask yourself the following two questions: What would I really enjoy doing? What job can I be the best at? Finding the answers to these questions is the first step towards a successful future. |
