I have been at university for nearly one year and I've been accustomed to making a call to my family once a week. But last week, I got a lot of work to do and I forgot to call my parents. So on Sunday evening, my mother called me and asked whether I was OK or not. In her voice, I could read her anxiety. “Sorry, mum. There's so much work needing to be done and I forgot to phone you. I promise that it won't happen again, and anyway, everything goes well.” We are still children in our parents' eyes, even though we have grown up. So wherever you are, bear in mind that call back and say everything goes well. |
