No. 10 - Giant Rodent

Turns out the world's largest rodent is from Uruguay, not New York. In January of 2008 researchers uncovered the remains of the enormous creature and guessed that, back when it was alive, the rodent weighed about 1 ton.A few months later scientist revised their estimates and now say the big guy probably tipped the scales at about 770 lbs - still not the kind of thing you want to find crawling through your cupboards.

Yes, that's really its name. Giganotosaurus caroliniimakes T. Rex look like the kid picked last for the basketball team. A large Giganotosaurus weighed in at at about 6.2 tons and stood about 43.3 ft high. Don't go feeling bad, Giganto might have been big, but all of him wasn't enormous. His brain was the size of a banana.

Religion aside, it would be doubly hard for this a 13-foot camel -- twice the size of a modern one -- to squeeze through anything. This big guy is around 100,000 years old and was found in Syria.
