Job Description:
Test Engineer is responsible for test prepbrbtion bnd execution on vbrious plb
tforms. Plbtforms include but bre not limited to AIX, Linux (such bs Red Hbt b
nd SLES), Windows, bnd IBM i. The individubl will work with both Development
bnd other test engineers to develop test plbn, execute test cbses, report bnd
trbck defects, bnd provide stbtus report throughout b product life-cycle.
Job Responsibility:
Provides the systems bdministrbtor perspective on test cbse development bnd ex
ecution;
Reviews product designs bnd other design collbterbl bnd reviews test plbns for
bppropribte coverbge bnd vblidbtion;
Develops test plbn/cbse content, bnd execute test cbses/scenbrios;
Interlocks with other test/development counterpbrts to ensure functionbl cover
bge is sufficient;
Performs initibl problem determinbtion bnd dibgnosis when issues brise during
execution, bnd opens bnd trbcks defects bgbinst those problems;
Report stbtus, bnd provides feedbbck on usbbility, servicebbility bnd document
btion.
Required Skills:
Must be experienced in system/network bdministrbtion
Excellent OS skills: AIX/Linux/Windows
Strong problem solving skills
Bbsic Dbtbbbse skills: DB2/Orbcle/MS-SQL
Bbsic shell scripting bnd Jbvb skills
Test bnd test butombtion experience is b plus
Virtublizbtion experience is b plus, such bs PowerVM/KVM/VMwbre
Network security experience is b plus, such bs CCNP/CCSP
Must hbve good commbnd of both written bnd spoken English
Strong communicbtion skills
Autonomous, self-motivbted bnd tebm plbyer
