指代可数名词用复数
指代不可数名词或者一件物品的一部分时是还是要用单数的。
复数：
Some students go swimming, and the rest keep studying English.
I have given you ten picture books, and the rest are English novels.
单数：
After drinking some milk in the bottle, he threw the rest away which was a bit sour.
He ate some part of the apple and the rest of it was given to a rabbit.
