两颗种子肩并肩躺在春天的肥沃土壤里。第一颗种子说：“我要生长！我要把我的根深深扎入身下的泥土中，让我的芽长出泥土......我要感
觉阳光洒在脸上的温暖，我要感受花瓣上晨露的祝福。”
因此，她生长了。
第二颗种子说：“我担心：假如我扎入身下的泥土，我不知道我会在黑暗中碰到什么。如果我把芽长出坚硬的泥土，我也许会伤害我娇嫩的
芽...... 假如我伸展自己的花蕾，蜗牛会把它们给吃了，那要怎么办？假如我伸展自己的花蕾，小孩子也许会把我从地上拔走。不，还是在地底下
待着，直到安全了再出去吧！”
就这样，她一直在等待。
院子里有一只老母鸡，它在早春的泥土里寻找食物，发现了那颗等待的种子，一下就把它给吃了。
Two seeds lay side by side in the fertile spring soil. The first seed said:" I want to grow! I want to send my roots deep into the soil beneath me,
and thrust my sprouts through the earth's crust above me...I want to feel the warmth of the sun on my face and the blessing of the morning dew on
my petals!"
And so she grow.
The second seed said : "I am afraid . If I send my roots into the ground below. I don't know what I will encounter I in the dark. If I puth my
way through the hard soil above me I may damage my delicate sprouts...What if I let my buds open and a snail tries to eat them ? And if I were
to open my blossoms, a smail child might pull me from the ground. No, it is much better for me to wait until it is safe. "
And so she waited.
A yard hen scratching around in the early spring ground for food found the waiting seed and promptly ate it.
