《economist》----quoted out of

1.It feels like at long last the Germanic Vandals are coming home to roost.
2.This magazine is absolutely consistent with his xenophobic attitude
3.kick  sb off
4.to use an euphemism
5. under appalling conditions
6.are blatant examples
7.to repatriate migrants
8. Either way
.
9   a red herring
10.One more thing
11.Italy is coping with this worse
12. Whining is not a good way to start,
13.so be it
14.You could have caveats where temporary refuge is given until the situation in North Africa abates
15. Otherwise you have a choice to pull out of such conventions
16.I am not being deliberately harsh and I do have some sympathy.
17.For a start
18.Also, aside from the refugee problem
.
19. good point !
20.The main reason why the EU-countries are reluctant to accept these refugees
is because EU-citizens are fed up with mass immigration having been forced down their throats for decades.
21.It goes without saying that
22.On top of getting paid for doing nothing you also get free health care,
23.To top it all off,
24.how hypocrite they are
25.Bottom line is that ....
26.exacerbated by use of edible plants to make fuel

27. health problems caused by illegal dumping of hazardous waste from industrial countries
28. at the expense of the taxpayer

29.The next step is to bring over their families - invariably large ones. So for each "refugee" arriving in Lampedusa, you can multiply the impact in terms of immigration by 5 or 6.

38.That is total and utter bollocks

39.you do not make a treacherous journey across deserts and oceans to try and claim welfare

40.Hmm, that sounds an awful lot like Stalin trying to dump all the Jews in a special oblast in Russia. Needless to say it was not a pleasant place - there's a reason Siberia is empty

41.
I'm always astonished at how those who promote a free market and open borders in terms of flow of money, commodities, and manufactured goods draw the line at allowing actual human people to cross those borders. In fact, it seems like those who are most adamant about stopping "illegal immigration" are also the most adamant about removing restrictions on trade.

42. Europe has a shortage of workers

43.no exceptions
44.Europe is broke and full of problems

45.bring loads of money
46.Then this board would be full of people railing against the US

47.Meanwhile the economy is let sink in the hands of the former Berlusconi's accountant

48. but the interior minister Maroni did purposely nothing,
49.Now Berlusconi and Maroni pretend the EU help and in parallel declare to give to all immigrants a temporary permit that would them allow to go wherever they wanted in the EU.

50.It is clearly a trick to discharge themselves of their responsibilities

51.How sad it is your tirade against your own country

52.
