Hey, I was following the Tweaking Companion v 3.00 and it's great, BUT-- You can't ignore the driver signing check by changing the option in the system properties / hardware / driver signing options. Whatever you select there is automatically reverted to the default "warn" state. A google search indicates that the registry entry cannot be changed if Windows File Protection is enabled. Why does Microsoft give us the option to disable it if it won't work is beyond me. Another one of their mistakes. I'd like to disable this, but don't think it's worth the risk of disabling WFP too. Am I missing something here? |
