Directions:

You were in hospital because of injury from an accident. You friends came to see you and console you. Now you have recovered and write a letter to thank them. In the letter you should

1）express your thanks,

2）recall the encouragement they gave you, and

3）invite them to the recovery party your mother holds for you.

 

   Write your letter with no less than 100 words. Write it neatly on ANSWER SHEERT 2. Do not sign your own name at the end of the letter; use “Li Ming” instead. You do not need to write the address.

     中 段：谈论你这次受伤住院的感受。

                   1）交通事故对你打击很大，开始对生活几乎失去信心，是医生和朋友的鼓励给你力量和信心。

                   2）强调友谊珍贵，朋友轮流看护陪伴，帮你度过艰难时刻，你感激不尽。

     尾 段：你母亲为你康复举行答谢会，期待你的朋友出席。

         Dear Chen Lin and Li Hua,

                  I’ve just been out of hospital for a couple of days. Right now I am really fine, but without your support, I wouldn’t have got better so soon.

 

                  You know, the traffic accident gave me a very hard blow, both physically and mentally. In the first two weeks after my injury, I almost lost my confidence in my future life. It is the doctors’ and your encouragement that rendered me much strength and determination Anyway, I learned a lot from this unfortunate accident. I’d never realize how important your friendship was to me. I can’t say any more to show my gratitude for your taking turns keeping me company, and getting me through the blue time.

 

                 Next Saturday, my mother would give a recovery party to thank my friends. I really want to see you there. So, 7 o’clock at my place, OK?
