     这组词都有“骗”的意思。

 

deceive “欺骗”、“蒙骗”、“行骗”，指用虚假、哄骗、隐瞒等手段使人产生误解或错觉而上当受骗。常见结构是：

deceive sb.

                          deceive sb. into doing sth.

 

1) He put on an air of innocence, but it didn't deceive us.

（他装出一副无辜的样子,但是它欺骗不了我们。）

2) You are deceiving youself if you still believe that she loves you.

  （你如果还相信她爱你，你就是在欺骗自己。）

3) He deceived the shopkeeper into purchasing a large quantity of fake commodities.

         （他骗店主采购了大量的假冒伪劣商品。）

 

cheat “欺骗”，指用不正当的手段骗取得所需之物，尤指占他人的便宜或骗取钱财为目的欺骗，作不及物动词时，可用作“作弊”。

 

1) The greedy shop keeper often cheats customers by selling fake goods.

 (这个黑心的老板经常出售假冒伪劣商品欺骗客户。)

2) If you cheat in a test you are really cheating yourself.

  (如果你在考试中作弊，你实际上是在欺骗自己。)

3) I wIfould rather fail than cheat in the examination.

           （宁愿考不及格,也不愿意考试作弊。）

 

take sb. in “让某人上当受骗”。

 

1) The naughty boy mimicked his teacher’s voice vividly and took many of us in.

             （这个顽皮的男孩惟妙惟肖地模仿老师的声音，把我们许多人都骗了.）

        2) I am afraid you have been taken in by the glib tongue of the salesman.

 （恐怕你上了那个三寸不烂之舌的推销员的当。）

swindle “欺骗”“诈取”，指用虚假或卑鄙的手段来诈取他人的钱财，语气比cheat强。

 

1) That so-called sale is a scheme to swindle/cheat the customers.

            （所谓的大贱卖是欺骗顾客阴谋。）

2) There are two types of credit cards crime of swindling: one is to swindle in other's name and the other is in his own name.

            （有两种类型的信用卡诈骗犯罪: 一是以他人名字诈骗,另一种是用自己的名字诈骗。）

 

defraud “诈骗”，“欺诈”，指用小花招或谎言骗取他人钱财。常用结构是：

defraud sb. of sth.  （诈骗某人某物）

 

 1) The man defrauded the old lady of two hundred pounds in the purchases.

           （那男子在购买中欺诈了老妇人两百英磅。）

 2）Crime of defrauding by short messages is increasing dramatically in recent years.

            （近年来通过短信欺诈犯罪急剧增加）

 

trick “欺骗”，指用阴谋、诡计等方法进行欺骗、哄骗。常用结构是：

trick sb out of sth.  （骗某人某物）

trick sb. in doing sth.  （骗某人做某事）

 

        1) Some banks are reluctant to come out and admit that they have been tricked out of millions of pounds for feat there will be a lack of confidence
 in the banking system.

          （一些银行不愿出来承认他们被骗走了几百万英镑，唯恐人们对银行系统缺乏心。）

        2) They tried to trick me into selling out my share of the company but I was not taken in.

        这四个词是常用表示“欺骗”、“欺诈”意思的名词。

 

 

deception “欺骗”、“欺诈”、“骗局”，指用手段使人信以为真的欺骗，语气比有目的诈骗弱。 

 

 

 1) The candidate practiced all kinds of deceptions on the voters to win their confidence.

  （这位候选人为了赢得了选民的信任用各种手段欺骗他们。）

        2) Computers have also created new techniques of deception for tricksters to conduct financial frauds.

            （计算机也创造出了一些新的技术为骗子进行金融欺骗”。）

   

 

deceit  “欺骗”、“欺诈”、“骗局”，指采用歪曲真相，隐瞒事实欺骗别人的行为。

 

 

   1) Many greed businessmen cheat customers by deceit means.

            （许多贪婪的商人用诡诈手段欺骗顾客。）

        2) He kept his wife from knowing about the affair by the fragrant deceit.

         （他用美丽的谎言欺骗”妻子不让她知道这件事的。）

 

 fraud “诈骗”、“骗局”，多指政治上的不诚实舞弊或经济上的诈骗行为。

 

 

         1) In recent years there has been a noticeable increase in sophisticated financial fraud.

          （近年来用高科技的金融诈骗有明显增加。)

        2) He was charged with frauds for selling goods of inferior quality.

             （他被指控销售劣质商品进行欺诈。）

 

 hoax “骗局”，“恶作剧”，多指精心设计的骗局，让人上当以达到某种目的。

 

       1) The old man was deceived by the hoax of the young man.

          （那个老人被这个年轻人的骗局欺骗了）。

              2) The fire-brigade answered the emergency call but there was no fire. It was all a hoax.

          （消防队接到报警电话后采取了行动,但是并没有火灾，这完全是一场恶作剧。）
