Jill is on the phone with Jack from the bank.
Jill:I need to cancel my traveler's checks and freeze my credit cards.
Jack:We'll need your passport number for verification1.
(Jill tells him the number and he verifies it.)
Jack:Now, you need to go to a local bank and pick up new checks.
Jill:OK. Will I be able to access my money then?
Jack:It will take a few days to process.
Jill:A few days!
Dialogue D
Chris and Jill meet back at the hotel.
Chris:How did it go?
Jill:I still won't have any money for a few days.
Chris:What are you going to do?
Jill:I guess I'll have to hit you up for a loan.
Chris:I think that you have one more phone call to make.
Jill:Really? Who should I call?
Chris:Your father. You need to call and ask him for money.

吉儿跟银行行员杰克在通电话。
吉儿：我必须取消我的旅行支票，并且止付信用卡。
杰克：我们需要核对妳的护照号码。
（吉儿告诉他号码，他加以核对。）
杰克：现在妳要去当地银行拿新的支票。
吉儿：好的。然后我就可以动用我的钱吗？
杰克：还要再花几天处理。
吉儿：还要再几天喔！

克里斯和吉儿回到饭店碰头。
克里斯：处理得怎样？
吉儿：我还是会口袋空空个好几天。
克里斯：那妳怎么办？
吉儿：我想我只能先跟你周转一下。
克里斯：我觉得妳应该再打一通电话。
吉儿：真的吗？打给谁？
克里斯：妳老爸。妳得打电话跟他要钱啦。
