The factory that in charge of making the torch is located in Conventry, a city in central England. The prototype of the London 2012 Olympic Games torch was unveiled on June 8, 2012. The torch, in triangular form, has a golden aluminum tube featuring a lace-like mesh with 8,000 holes representing the 8,000 torch bearers.
