冠词 英语的冠词包括定冠词the和不定冠词a,an三个。 不定冠词a,an a与an都是用在单数可数名词前，表示以下几种意思： 1.表示某一类人或某一类事物中的一个(泛指)。 He is a teacher. I am going to buy a pencil. This is an apple. A giraffe is very tall. 2.表示其全类(泛指)。 An English teacher teaches the students how to learn English. 3.表示“一”的数量，比“one”的程度弱一些。 I have a cat,two birds and three dogs. We have 3 English classes a week. 4.用在固定的词组中。 a lot of 许多 have a cold 感冒 have a fever 发烧 a little 一些 注意： a用在以辅音发音（不是辅音字母）开头的单数可数名词前，an用在以元音发音（不是元音字母）开头的单数可数名词前。 如：a house [h] an hour [ ] 定冠词 定冠词the表示以下几种意思： 1．特指某一个具体的人或事物。 The cup on the desk is Mike’s. The bike under the tree is mine. 2.说话的两个人都心照不宣的同一个人或事物。 如：Jhon冲进Miss White的办公室，发现只有Peter在，他就问：Where is the teacher? 3.上下文中提过的人或事物。 I have a pet dog. The dog is black and white. My family is going to buy a house. The house is near my school. 4.用在序数词、形容词最高级以及方位词的前面。 This is the third time I visit Guangzhou. Rose is the most beautiful in our school. Hainan is to the south of Guangzhou. 5.用在世界上独一无二的事物前(the moon, the sky, the earth, the sun, the stars, the world)。 The sun is in the sky now. The moon goes around the sun. 6.江、河、海、湖、大洋、大山等名称前 如：the Changjiang River 7.用在乐器名词前。 My sister can play the piano very well. Tony likes playing the guitar so much. 8.与某些形容词连用表示一类人或物。 The rich 有钱人， 9．姓氏的复数形式前面加“the”表示“……一家”。 如：the White 怀特一家 10．用在固定搭配中。 By the way, 不用冠词的情况： 1、复数名词表示泛指时。(we are both students) 2、学科名词前。(we like English very much) 注意：若English后面有language，English前应加定冠词the。 3、三餐饭（包括dinner）前。(I have breakfast at 7) 注意：当三餐饭前面有形容词修饰时，要用冠词。(He gave us a good dinner yesterday) 4、在球类及棋类名称前。(play basketball) 5、在节假日前。(on Christmas Day) 注意：如果指某个国家或地区的特殊节日，前面要加定冠词(the New Year) 6、表示某一单位的称呼、头衔前。 7、在季节、月份星期几前。 注意：如果季节、月份等被一个限定性定语修饰，要加冠词。(I left Tokyo in the winter of 1995) 8、名词前有指示代词、物主代词、不定代词或名词所有格修饰时。 9、在某些习惯用语中。(after school, at home, by nature, by mistake, by hand, by car, day and night, face to face, from door to door, from morning till night, go to bed, hand in hand, in space, in hospital, in prison, lie in bed, on foot, on fire……) |
