本次教学，培养孩子根据细节做出判断的意识。在幼儿园，孩子读过一些小绘本，进入一年级之后，应逐步阅读稍稍复杂一点的书籍。越是复杂的书籍，细节就越丰富。孩子读这样的书，不仅要把握细节，还要随时根据细节做出判断，这样才能跟上故事的脉络，不至于“读丢了”。
妈妈可以对孩子说：一个人，要学会观察细节，要学会通过细节，得出自己的判断。比如，看到谁打哈欠，你就能判断出，这个人可能困了。再比如，看到谁买冷饮，你就能判断出，这个人可能口渴了。
妈妈继续说：同样的道理，一个人读故事的时候，也要对故事中的细节，做出自己的判断。
在英语阅读策略中，根据细节做出判断，是其中一项要求。孩子善于对故事细节做出自己的判断，说明孩子更能和故事“互动”，孩子更容易“读进去”。给孩子读完英文故事，我建议妈妈可以仿照下面这样，向孩子提问，并鼓励孩子根据文章细节，回答大人的问题。

一、先让孩子阅读下面的故事。
Frog Trap
Richie was feeling lucky. Today he was going to catch a frog.
Richie walked to the pond with his net, a bucket, and a tub of
flies. He was going to make a frog trap. He would need to lay the
bucket on the grass. Then, the frog would need to walk into the
bucket. Finally, he would throw the net on top and catch the frog.
It was a quiet morning. Richie tiptoed around the pond and set
up his trap. He watched and waited. He started thinking about the
home he would build for the frog. He also thought about what he should
name the frog. Richie could not wait to see the frog!
二、启发孩子回答问题。
让孩子拿着荧光笔，妈妈开始提问。
① Richie 准备利用什么东西，诱使青蛙进入桶里？把这个东西用荧光笔划出来。
② 判断一下，为什么 Richie 要踮起脚尖走路？
③ 故事里面有哪些句子，可以帮助你得出这样的判断，那就是 Richie 捉青蛙，是为了“养青蛙”，
而不是为了“吃青蛙”。把这些句子划上荧光笔。
三、对对答案
① 孩子应该用荧光笔，把“a tub of flies”划出来。
② 因为早上很安静，所以 Richie 踮起脚尖，免得发出响动，吓跑青蛙。
③ 孩子用荧光笔，划出这部分内容：He started thinking about the home he would
build for
the frog. He also thought about what
he should name the frog.
