- Enhancing coping strategies (e.g., to distract and support)
- Minimizing access to lethal means (as large quantities of medication, weapons and ammunition)
- Utilizing social support contacts
- Professionals to call
- identifying reasons to live
Practical application of the plan involves:
- anticipating possible obstructions to its use
- where to keep it
- updating it as required
