The 2012 Fujian International Talent Innovation and Entrepreneurship Week will belaunched on Oct 31 in Fuzhou, capital city of East China's Fujian province.
Aimed at attracting returnees to work in the province, the week-long event will offerinvestment opportunities in high-tech startups, entrepreneurship contests and meetingson information technology, biomedicine and research.
About 150 talents from overseas will present projects and talk with more than 120companies in the province. Of the participants, 80 percent have PhDs.
The provincial government now offers innovative professionals subsidies of at least200,000 yuan to help them start businesses, officials said.
