To ban, or not to ban?

 苏卜拉妮 2012-12-07

With the Internet popularizing, more and more freshmen will bring their own computers to their dorms. And a ban on this is emerging subsequently for the sake of avoiding freshmen’s indulgence in computers. But does it really work? Certainly not.. In my view, Such actions are palliatives. Because it is inevitable that many freshmen can sneak to Internet café to satisfy their addictiveness to computers. And on the other hand, such bans will have a side effect that some genuine talents in computers cannot have access to their progress. It can be regretful for the whole nation for the lack of capable human resources in management and information technology . Moreover, students are supposed to have the right to do what they want to do as entertainments. And temperate pastimes are wholesome. Besides, there is plenty of critical information and a lot of useful resources on the Internet.

Therefore, we should put forward some effective ideas first to strengthen their awareness that being over-addicted in online-games will do harm to us. It can make us neglect our studies, weaken our personality charm, and even shrink our social networking. Then we should arrange our time properly to surf the Internet. We just use the computers as tools to pass our leisure time and gain the helpful assets from the Internet. Thus, we can enhance our IT capability, and meanwhile we may keep abreast of the times.
