China will hold its own version of the Dakar Rally this year, namely the China Grand Rally, opening another door for Chinese racers.
The 10,000-kilometer China Grand Rally will be held in September and last 16 days, similar to that of the Dakar Rally. The Federation of Automobile Sports of China (FASC) has also applied to the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) to designate the China Grand Rally as the "highest-level and long-distance international rally in the world".
In order to make the rally a success, the FASC has invited many experienced professionals, and made useful explorations for more than half a year.
The China Grand Rally is designed to be at the same level as or even surpass the Dakar Rally. The organizer's "ambition" has aroused high expectations, and it should also have attention, carefulness, and patience.
