China Vanke Co Ltd and Evergrand Group, the two largest property companies in China, saw their strongest sales surge in years as the property market rebounded.

A statement released by China Vanke on Monday showed that the company's sales rose 56.31 percent year-on-year to 19 billion yuan ($3 billion) in January. Sales of floor area increased 35.38 percent to reach 1.6 million square meters.
