RIYADH, Feb. 25 (Xinhua) -- Saudi Interior Ministry plans to distribute confiscated narcotics and psychotropic substances to government organizations for scientific, medical and industrial uses, Al Watan newspaper reported Monday.

A committee was formed to handle the distribution process, which will be carried out after those organizations fulfill certain conditions, such as to keep the narcotics away from misuse, a source told the newspaper.

Only organizations that provide details about their projects, including the use of the narcotics and required quantities, will be included in the scheme. The formed committee will supervise those organizations and how the received items are used.
