SHE’s a reality star and he’s a dictator. So, Kim Kardashian and Kim Jong-un are totally different then. Or are they...?

For the world's two most-talked-about Kims bear some striking similarities.

From their love lives to their day trips, the Keeping Up With The Kardashians babe and the warmongering North Korean tyrant have more in common than you might think at first.

See how similar they are, in our Kim-vestigation ....

1) Kim J's out to screw the West; and as for Kim K...

A different type of West, of course. Kardashian is six months' pregnant with rapper Kanye West’s child, while dictator Jong-un keeps threatening destruction to the free world with his missiles

2) Kim J has millions of devoted followers....Kim K has likewise

You and whose army? Kardashian has more than 17 million followers on Twitter, making her the 14th most 'popular' person on the global social media site.

A liitle way behind, Jong-un can count on the unquestioning loyalty of around 1.1 million North Korean soldiers, the world's fifth-largest army - behind neighbour China, the US, India and Russia. Way to go...

3) Kim K briefly got to grips with a basketball star...Kim J was a hit with a hoops legend too

Kardashian was married to New Jersey Nets star Kris Humphries - for a whistle-stop 72 days in 2011.

Last month Jong-un was seen man-hugging visiting US basketball legend Dennis Rodman, who told him: “You have a friend for life”. Court-ing couples?

4) For Kim K life is a rollercoaster; Kim J's partial to a ride too

Both Kims clearly have an appetite for a quick thrill, judging by these theme park pics.

But while Kardashian was snapped looking terrified on her white-knuckle ride, Jong-un seemed to be loving the high life.

5) Kim K's father was famous....Kim J's dad was infamous

Kardashian’s late dad Robert was famed for being the lawyer for American football star O. J. Simpson, controversially cleared of killing his wife Nicole.

Jong-un’s dad, Kim Jong-il, was the supreme leader of North Korea from 1994 until his death in 2011, widely blamed for isolating and starving his country.

6) Kim K loves a boating trip and Kim J's often all at sea as well

Both Kims have hit the water – Kardashian to film her reality show off Miami, Jong-un for a military visit to an island bordering his hated neighbour South Korea. Something seems to be tickling them both...

7) K is the magic letter for Kim K AND Kim J ...

You can't fool us - both their names start with the letter K. But that's just the beginning of the, erm, spoo-K similarities.

Kardashian’s mum and sisters also have names that start with the letter K (Kris, Kourtney, Khloe, Kylie and Kendall).

Jong-un’s siblings ALL have the name Kim too (Kim Jong-nam, Kim Jong-chul, Kim Sul-song and Kim Yo-jong) – although in the hermit Asian nation people put their family names first. O-K, it was a bit of a kon...

8) Kim K has put on weight recently....Kim J looks to be carrying a few extra Kg too

Kardashian cut a slender figure in 2011 before she understanably gained her recent baby weight.

Not so long ago Jong-un was snapped in an unflattering pose that showed off an extra chin that he didn’t appear to have just before.

9) Kim K is all wrapped up with a rapper - Kim J also makes sweet music with a singer

Kardashian is dating and carrying a baby for Kanye West – the American rapper and record producer famed for hits Stronger, Love Lockdown and Gold Digger.

Meanwhile, Jong-un also struck up a romance with a singer – his wife Ri Sol-Ju is a former songstress who reportedly caught the leader’s eye during a performance.

10) Kim K is at home on the range; just like trigger-happy Kim J
