棒針編みの英語表記の日本語訳海外の編み物のサイトとか本には日本の作品とはまた違った
たくさんのすばらしい作品があるけど、 英語表記なのでとっつきにくい人も多いはず。 英語表記が分かれば、多くの人が色んな編み物をもっと楽しめると思う。 なので 棒針編みの基本的な英語表記の日本語訳をあげてみました。 よくあるのが同じ意味なのに違う書き方をしてあったりするので 「なんだこれ?」って思う事も多々あったり。。。 ま、人それぞれ説明の仕方も違うし色んな言い方があるので、 しょうがないかなー  統一してくれればもっと簡単なのにぃ-。って思ってしまう。 * * = repeat instructions between asterisks, as directed * (アスタリスク) と * の間を指図通りに繰り返す across to ～の方へ alt = alternate 一つ飛ばしの、代わりのもの attach = つける、加える approx = approximately だいたい beg = begin = beginning 始め 、始まり bet = between ～の間 BO = bind off 伏せ止め bind off in k 表目の伏せ止め bind off in p 裏目の伏せ止め cast off = 伏せ止め CO = cast on 作り目 cont = continue 続ける CIRC = circular needle 輪になった棒針（輪針） dec(s) = decrease(s) 減らす DPN = double-pointed needles 両サイド（右も左も）が使える棒針の事。 fl = front loop(s) 目の手前側 foll = follow 従う g st = garter stitch ガーター編み inc(s) = increase(s) 増やす incl = including 含む join = つなぐ K = knit 表目 k tbl = K1 tbl = K1b = Knit stitch through the back loop 目の後ろ側の糸を表目 k-wise = knit-wise = knitwise 表目を編むように目の手前側から後ろ側に針を目の中に通す k2tog = knit 2 stitches together 表目左上２目１度 k2tog tbl = knit 2 stitches together, through the back loops 同じ表目２目１度でも（普通に表目を編むように毛糸は後ろ側に置いたまま）左針の目の輪の後ろ側を２目拾って２目一度。＝（表目右２目１度） P = purl 裏目 p-wise = purl-wise = purlwise = Insert right needle down into the front loop, or up into the back loop for tbl 裏目を編むように目の後ろ側から手前に右針を左針にある目の中に通す p2tog = purl 2 stitches together 裏目右上２目１度 p2tog tbl = purl 2 together, through the back loop 同じ裏目２目１度でも（普通に裏目を編むように毛糸は手前に置いたまま）左針の目の輪の後ろを２目拾って２目１度。 ＝ 裏目左上２目１度 LH = Left Hand 左手 RH = Right Hand 右手 RS = Right Side 表側 WS = Wrong Side 裏側 lp(s) = loop(s) 目の輪 once １回 pat(s) = patt(s) = pattern(s) = パターン prev = previous = 前の、 前回の psso = pass the slipped stitch over すべらせた目にかぶせる rem = remaining 残っている rep = repeat(s) 繰り返す rnd = round 輪にして（編む） sl = s = slip a stitch.
