1967年，The Velvet Underground & Nico发行了那张同名专辑，The Beatles推出了《Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band》。
1977年Iggy Pop转向solo，David Bowie帮忙制作了其两张专辑《The Idiot》《Lust for Life》，同时David Bowie自己也发行了专辑《Heroes》。别忘记了这也是朋克的一年，在这做英伦小岛上，The Sex Pistols和The Clash的《Never Mind the Bollocks Here's the Sex Pistols》、《The Clash》也是在这一年诞生。
1986年给了我们The Smiths的《The Queen Is Dead》和Beastie Boys的《Licensed to Ill》。
1991年，Nirvana《Nevermind》，My Bloody Valentine《Loveless》，Primal Scream《Screamadelica》。
2001年The Strokes《Is This It》和The White Stripes《White Blood Cells》改变了世界，Jay-Z用一张《The Blueprint》证明了自己是在世最好的Rapper。
