I used to really dislike mornings. I dreaded my alarm and would hit snooze over and over and over again until I would finally stumble out of bed at the last minute, fumble for coffee, not have time for a shower or anything other than rubbing my eyes before I had to wake my kids and get them moving too. Not an ounce of quiet before having both kids asking for help peeling bananas (I’ll spare you my issues with bananas for another day), finding matching socks, arguing over hair being combed and searching for shoes. Mornings were stressful and chaotic.
过去我很真的很讨厌早上这段时间。我害怕巨大的闹钟声,我会不断地睡懒觉直到最后一分钟我才会从床上起来,接着笨手笨脚地找咖啡,这样就没有足够的时间去淋浴,叫醒我的孩子和让他们走之前。在我的两个孩子叫我帮忙剥香蕉皮之前,我是没有一刻的安静的。(改天我将会跟大家分享关于香蕉的话题),接着去把配备的袜子给找出来,接着争论发型和找鞋子出来,整个早上我都被压力和混乱统治着。
The way a day starts can set the tone for the rest of the day
一天开始生活的方式可以剩下的时间定下基调。
When my days were constant chaos, I knew something had to change. If I wanted quiet mornings with less stress and more smiles, and days that were much simpler than before, I had to make a big change. I stopped being such a night owl and started getting up an hour before my kids.
当我的日子持续一段时间过的很混乱的时候,我就知道我需要去做改变了。如果我想我早上安静点,更少压力更多微笑,日子过的比之前的轻松,这样的话我必须做一个大的改变才行。这样,我就停止了我的夜猫生活和开始比我的小孩早起一个小时的决定。
My alarm is set for 6 a.m. and most days I am up before it goes off now. I make my coffee slowly. I drink my coffee slowly, while it’s still hot. I spend some time in the dark quiet in my favorite chair in the living room, listening to roosters crow and birds chirping as the sun comes up.
我的闹钟设置在6点闹,但是我一般都是在还没有闹之前我就起来了。这样我就能够慢慢的煮咖啡,然后慢悠悠的品尝着热烘烘的它。在我的起居室里面我最喜欢的那张椅子,我会花点时间在黑暗里面安静的与之共处,然后当太阳升起的时候,我就能够听着公鸡叫,鸟儿吱吱喳喳的声音。
Then I’ll check my email, putz around on the computer for a bit and then go about getting myself ready for the day. I know we all have a routine that works best for us. The key is finding it. This works for me.
然后我会检查我的邮箱,在电脑上一会儿,紧接着就去为我一天做好准备。我知道每个人都有一个最时候自己的方法,关键就是去找它出来。现在我找的这个方法就是合适我。
Once I’ve enjoyed some lazy quiet, I shower, get dressed, and then wake my kids up.
一旦我开始享受比较懒散的生活的时候,我就会去洗澡,穿裙子,然后叫我的孩子起来。
I discovered the key to better mornings was having more organized evenings. Before bed, making sure the kitchen is clean, the kids clothes are laid out – including matching socks and shoes, and lunch items are organized. I make lunches in the morning and it’s now quick and easy because there aren’t a million other things I am worrying about while shoving a sandwich and grapes and carrots into a lunch bag.
我发现想每天早上过的比较的关键因素就是每天晚上要整理好所有的事。在你睡觉之前,确保你的厨房是感觉的,孩子的衣服已经摆好了---这里包括着,有成对的袜子,鞋子和午餐的东西已经准备好了。现在每天早上的时候我就把午餐给做好了,我发现这样十分简单便捷,因为当我把一个三明治、葡萄、胡萝卜装到午餐袋后,我心头在也不用担心N多的事了。
Beds get made when we each get out of bed – usually. Everyone gets dressed without too much drama, and by the time we’ve headed out the door, we are all usually smiling. A big improvement!
通常,当我们每个人都离开床的时候,床的作用才体现的出来。我们每个人穿着并没有太多的戏剧成分,等我我们走出房间的时候,我们笑了,我们有一个这么大的进步了。
I’d like to say that it’s because of so many things – my kids are older now, my house is more put together, the laundry is regularly done. But the fact of the matter is the biggest single difference was me going from night owl to morning person. An extra hour in the morning makes a much bigger difference to my day than an extra hour at night. At night, I am either staring like a zombie at the computer or tv. In the morning, I am doing something. Getting ready for the day. It’s made all the difference.
在这里我想说一下,因为我有太多的事了------我的孩子已经渐渐长大了,我的房子也拥挤了,衣服也是定时处理了。但是我最大的不同就是我每天从夜猫变成了早上工作的人了.我每天早上多花一个小时,我就远远发现比我在晚上多花一个小时的作用大的多。每天晚上,我要不就是在电脑前面发呆,要不就是看电视,在早上的时候,我能够做一些事了,我能够为一整天的开始做好铺垫。这样令我的生活变得完全不同了。
