The Cambridge neighborhood's annual Chocolate Festival is taking the square by storm. But for those who care to indulge, here’s your chance to savor chocolate-inspired appetizers, entrees, desserts, and cocktails at many of the local restaurants and shops, and enjoy special discounts on chocolate-related goods. Chocolates from Evelyn and Angels will be available for sampling at the annual Harvard Square Chocolate Festival. Head to Deguglielmo Plaza (27 Brattle St.) on Jan. 25 from 1 p.m. – 2 p.m. for theHarvard Square chocolate sampling event. Chocolate samples will be available for tasting, while the Second Line Social Aid & Pleasure Society Brass Band entertains the crowd. Samples will be distributed by Ben & Jerry’s, BoConcept, Evelyn and Angels, Finale,First Printer, Gopinion, Inc., Hidden Sweets, J.P. Licks, Legal Sea Foods, Lizzy's Ice Cream,Shake Shack, The Sinclair, Sweet, and Toscano. Other participating restaurants and shops will offer special discounts or menu items (including hot chocolate and cocktails) throughout the festival weekend. And if you visit theHarvard Museum of Natural History, consider viewing the glass flower gallery to see hand-crafted glass models of cacao, along with other edible items like cashew nuts, mango, pineapple, and other plants.
