Question
How do I run the jobReset utility?
Answer
The assumption is you have installed the latest version of the Pack available (4.3.2.1) Note: The utility was updated for 4.3.2.1 and contains revised cleanup code for BW Load (APAR JR33761). For BW Extract there is one patch that needs to be installed (APAR JR36802). Run the jobReset utility in a command prompt window, after sourcing dsenv: - usage for BW LOAD Jobs: cd <IS Home>/Server/DSBWbin jobReset <Connection Name> <Source System> <InfoSource> <InfoSource Type> <JobName> where <InfoSource Type> = MASTER | MASTERTEXT | TRANSACTION | MASTERHIERARCHY for example: cd /hpithome/IBM/InformationServer/Server/DSBWbin ./jobReset SAPBW8 PACK09 IS1 MASTER bwload You should get a confirmation message: "jobReset - Successful" - usage for BW EXTRACT Jobs (Use default connection settings): jobReset <Connection Name> <Source System> <InfoSpoke Name> <Process Chain Name> - usage for BW EXTRACT Jobs (Use passed connection settings): jobReset <Connection Name> <Source System> <InfoSpoke Name> <Process Chain Name> <SAP host name / host address> <SAP user name> <SAP password> <SAP client ID> <SAP system number> <SAP language>
