成功，我们最需要的是什么？渴望！只有强烈的渴望才能成功，当你对成功的渴望就如你对呼吸的渴望时，你就会成功! As we all know, some people do not get thirsty for water. They are thirsty for realizing a d-ream or for making something different. I think it is those people who are eager for something with an unque-nchable thirst that,in the end, are likely to be most satisfied with their lives. Author Napoleon Hill said "Desire is the starting point of all achievements, not a hope a wish, but a strong desire which transcends(超越, 胜过) everything." He is really talking about a deep thirst. Alan C. Elliott tells in his book A Daily Dose of the American Dream about a five-ye-ar study that was undertaken to discover what made some people extraditionarily successful. The study consisted of detailed research into the lives of 120 of the nation's top artists, athle-tes and scholars. He reports that researchers was surprised to find that natural ablitilies played only a small part in the development of individuals. But researchers found that they possessed a powerful thirst to succeed. They practiced the piano for hours every day, rose early in the morning to practice swimming or running, or spent much time which they could have spent hanging out wi-th friends alone working on science projects or painting. Parental support was also a key factor. Parents of these extraordinarily thirsty young peo-ple helped out, exposing their children to great ideas and influential persons. Many sacrificed everything to ensure that their children received good training. But in the end, it was their children's thirst that made the difference(起作用). The principle applies to(适合于) adults, too. If you want to be more successful , the questi-on you might first ask yourself is "How thirst am I? " Your success in any field you choose, any one you want to be or anything you want to do will depend on your answer to that simple ques-tion. |
