Barry Yang was born in China and began to paint
at the early age of six. This early interest in
art gave him the opportunity to learn from a
well-established artist in the area, before
eventually being accepted to the local college
of fine art. Back home Barry found employment
with the state owned newspaper as the Editor
for Art and Design.
Barry’s passion is painting the children in
these villages and rural communities to capture
their natural beauty and innocence. In order to
get to know and be closer to the children, Barry
and his wife will stay right in the village
where they can have daily contact. After several
days the children will befriend them, allowing
them draw portraits and take photos.
