This 7-foot diameter turbine produces 4000 Watts in 27 mile per hour winds, measured as DC after rectification. Correction for the thinner air at 5000 feet elevation brings true output rating to 4500 watts. This project is funded by the California Energy Commission (CEC) through the Public Energy Innovation Research (PIER) Program, and the Energy Innovations Small Grant (EISG) Program administered by the San Diego State University (SDSU) Foundation.
