March 20 marks the International Day of Happiness. The theme of this year is "Your Happiness is a Part of Something Bigger."

The Secretary-General of the United Nations Ban Ki-moon made a statement on the UN official website:

"I wish everyone around the world a very happy International Day of Happiness! The pursuit of happiness is serious business. Happiness for the entire human family is one of the main goals of the United Nations."
