Flipped classroom method is wonderful. I believe this method can be a solution to serious educational problems in Korea, where I came from. Flipped classrooms increase the opportunity to receive better education without receive classes out of school. Since it is video taped, teachers would prepare more before giving a lecture. Students can watch several times and understand better. In addition since the students can take a lecture whenever and wherever they want, the efficiency of learning would increase. Because teachers have saved more time to use during class they can care more about each students. In so many ways flipped classroom is beneficial. I wish such methods are used in Korea as well.

Flipping the Classroom in Upper Level Math with Enhanced WebAssign

Facilitated by: Fran Hopf, University of South Florida
Date Recorded: 03/06/2014
Given the buzz, have you considered “flipping the classroom” for one of your credited math courses? If so, have you identified resources that could be used to support a successful implementation of your flipped classroom? In this presentation, Fran Hopf from the University of South Florida will discuss the benefits of flipping the classroom, and provide guidance on how it can be done. Using the seven principles of good teaching practices, Fran will provide examples of the various Enhanced WebAssign (EWA) tools that can be used to engage students in active learning. Fran will then highlight how the flipped classroom and EWA can positively impact students’ performance. Be sure to join the conversation and find out how you can flip your classroom with EWA!

Flipping the Developmental Math Classroom Using Enhanced WebAssign

Facilitated by: Mark Clark, Palomar College
Date Recorded: 03/13/2014
Flipping the classroom can allow you to make more time in your class for interactive and challenging activities with your students. In this session, we will focus on the features of Enhanced WebAssign that can help you make the most of your students out-of-classroom time. We will also discuss several activities that you can do in class to encourage great discussions with your students.
