The latest addition to the bandwagon of BlackBerry-loving international political leaders is none other than Hillary Clinton.
The former First Lady and Secretary of State expressed her preference of the Canadian smartphone when she spoke at the Lead On Silicon Valley Conference for Women in the Bay Area of California. In response to the question “Android or iPhone?” she chose the latter, adding that she also used a BlackBerry.
There could be a number of reasons BlackBerry is Clinton’s phone of choice – the endless battery life, the unmatched email experience, or the keyboard that’s a pleasure to type on.
Or perhaps it is the security BlackBerry offers – she uses an iPhone, but realizes BlackBerry is an infinitely more secure device.
Many other world leaders are known to be BlackBerry users and fans. US President Barack Obama, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, British Prime Minister David Cameron, and Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper have all openly expressed their inclination towards the smartphone whose customers’ security has always been a priority for its makers. |
