Reward,  Award

  她积极努力,应得到奖赏。

  他因考试及格而得到奖品。

  Award

  a prize such as money,etc. for something that somebody has done 奖,奖品,奖金

  这是一个制片人所能获得的最高奖项。

  3. If your answer is correct,you'll have a chance winning an award.

  如果您答对了,就有机会赢取奖品。

  to make an official decision to give something to somebody as a payment,prize,etc 授予,奖励

  1. The champion was awarded the gold medal.

  冠军被授予了金牌。

  2. He was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.

  他荣获诺贝尔和平奖。

  3. The judges awarded him the first prize.

  评委授予他一等奖。

  【注意】

  award与reward是一组近义词,请注意它们词义的区别。

  用作名词时:

  (1)award表示“奖品”,“奖金”,尤指因作出杰出贡献而获奖。

  (2)reward表示“奖赏”,“酬谢”,“报答”,尤指因工作努力或做了好事而得到回报。

  用作动词时:

  (1)award表示“授予”,“颁发”,侧重于因某人作出贡献而奖励。

  (2)reward表示“报答”,“奖励”,侧重于因某人做了好事而报答或因工作努力而奖励。

Affect,  Effect

  to produce a change in somebody or something 对某人/某物产生影响

  1. Your opinion will not affect my decision.

  你的看法不会影响我的决定。

  2. It does not affect me, I’m afraid.

  恐怕这对我没有什么影响。

  3. The rise in the price of oil will affect us all.

  油价上涨,对我们大家都有影响。

  4. The change of climate may affect their health.

  气候的改变可能会影响他们的健康状况。

  Effect

  The word “effect” has several meanings. It can mean outcome, consequence or appearance. “effect”词义有很多,可以表示“结果,影响,作用,效果”。

  1. We warned them, but with little or no effect.

  我们警告过他们,但完全没用。

  2. The medicine will soon take effect.

  这种药很快就会见效。

  3. New controls come into effect next month.

  新的管理条例下个月起开始生效。

  4. The new system has had a disastrous effect on productivity.

  新制度已对生产力造成了灾难性的影响。

  【注意】

  “affect”与”effect”的区别,同”advise”与”advice”的区别一样,主要在于词性的不同。”affect”为动词,”effect”主要用作名词。”effect”也可以用作动词,不过这种用法多用于商务写作中。
