在翠花看来，选择SCI杂志和选择股票一样，都需要在自己的能力范围内独具慧眼。 选股和选杂志都需要技巧
老牌三大刊就像“行业龙头股”，安全系数和可操作性均远高于板块内其它股票。比如Cell创刊于1974年，Nature首版于1869年，Science创建于1880年，多年以来影响因子傲踞群雄。尽管这三大出版集团旗下不断推出新的开放存取期刊，但仍然秉承异常严格的审稿和发文量控制。比如2012年Cell集团隆重推出的开放获取综合期刊，2014年首次开盘的影响因子大于7分；国内大牌杂志Cell Research旗下也创办了首个OA网络期刊Cell Discovery，并与Nature出版集团合作，尚无影响因子，值得期待！
另有一些杂志，就像“成长股”呈强势上扬的走势。比如纳米材料和纳米技术领域期刊ACS Nano，自2007年创刊后，连续6年，影响因子不断走高，分别是5分、7分、9分、10分、12分。就在2008年影响因子还是 7.493的时候，我在导师的怂恿下去冲刺了一把，结果收到几十条审稿意见，最终补了些实验，Argue了一些，修回去后最终还是被拒。可见“成长股”杂志确实还是需要真材实料的。 当然，也有一些在特定时间内走红、被众多投资者关注的“热门股”。选择这样的杂志，一定要分析清楚两个问题： ①能够维持多长时间； ②未来的上涨空间有多大。 这些“热门股”杂志，一般投稿后很容易接收，是那些急于毕业或者晋升职称的首选杂志。久而久之，江湖间就多了几个心照不宣的“灌水”杂志。正如热门股也有变成变成冷门股或者暴跌的时候，被大家趋之若鹜的SCI杂志也可能一落千丈。 世界上最悲惨的事，莫过于已经接收的SCI杂志被宣布已经被踢出了SCI界了。近日就从朋友圈获知了这样两个悲伤的消息。 其一：Asian Pacific journal of cancer prevention: APJCP 2008年进入SCI界，影响因子连续5年为：1.1、1.2、0.6、1.3、1.5，虽然分值不高，但是混混毕业足够了，关键胜在来者不拒，很少要求补充实验。然而就在同学A的文章已经接收，并准备毕业答辩的时候，突然收到这样的信，这叫同学A情可以堪！ Dear Author： We were informed by Thomson Reuter on 19th May that they have withdrawn our SCI Expanded listing on 22nd April.（我们在5月19日不幸被被汤森路透从SCI扩展版中剔除。） We naturally understand that the SCI listing and associated Impact Factor are important determinants of choice of journal and therefore would like to give you an opportunity to reconsider your submission if you still wish. Thank you for your support and understanding！（SCIE不收录就算了，起码我们还被PubMed数据库收录，这也不是谁都能做到的） Best wishes 其二：The Scientific World Journal 2006年进军SCI界，一直在一两分的水平，不幸的是2011年被踢出去，2012年又华丽转身，重新复出。不幸的是，估计在2015年又被踢出去了。然而，就看在这杂志百折不挠的份上，明年再次杀回来，也不是没有可能。 Dear Dr. XXX, My name is Amira Elsabbagh and I am the Publishing Editor for The Scientific World Journal, and I am writing to you with some unfortunate news regarding the indexing of the journal in the Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE).（很抱歉告诉您一个悲伤的消息） Hindawi has been informed by Thomson Reuters that The Scientific World Journal has been deselected from SCIE as of September 15th, 2014. Obviously, this has been very surprising to us, especially given that this decision has been taken shortly after the release of the 2013 Journal Citation Reports in July 2014, in which the journals Impact Factor is 1.219.
