Understanding the details of the boot process will help you diagnose problems that can arise during a boot. This session is the overview of the boot process, I will give you a general introduction and list the core processes in the system startup. Boot Process Overview The Windows boot process doesn’t begin when you power on your computer or press the reset button. It begins when you install Windows on your computer. During Windows Setup, it places code into the disk, writing Master Boot Record (MBR) to the first sector on the disk, and boot sectors to each partitions. Also copies windows system files into the disk, such as registry hives, drivers, etc. Below graph is the sketch of a normal boot process which is self-explained.
