—— 美国女画家 Heather Lara 超逼真动物绘画作品欣赏

Heather Lara was born andraised in New England where she developed an appreciation for nature at anearly age. She's lived many places since her childhood but now happilyresides in Temecula, California with her husband, two small daughters and toomany critters to mention them all.
A volunteer job with the Animal Department at the LivingDesert in Palm Desert introduced her to a career as a serious artist whenshe was hired by the Graphics Department full time. She expanded herresume by working freelance for the American Wilderness Experience, helpingthem open their zoo from the ground up by creating many of the exhibitgraphics. When she moved to Argentina it was a sharp detour from herrising career path but she spent her time down there collecting dogs andhoning her craft - she even had her first solo exhibition at the CentroCultural Fisherton.
Though shedoesn't have an art degree, the Scientific Illustration classes sheattended at the University of California at Santa Cruz helped her develop thetechniques she uses now and her Biology Degree has given her the necessaryknowledge of form and structure to create the extremely lifelike depictions ofher subjects.

Heather'spainstaking attention to detail has created a portfolio rich in thediversity of life, from landscapes and portraits in pastel and watercolorto meticulous wildlife scenes in colored pencil. But what she's sharingwith you here is her love of scratchboard, a unique and challenging medium thatreally lets her showcase her attention to minute detail. She believesthat all of nature has beauty, even the smallest insect, and hopes to sharethis with others through her art.
Her workcan be seen in the Davis & Company Contemporary Fine Art Galleryin Old Town Spring, Texas.
