【家庭庆祝】婚礼

when and where this celebration was held

I'm going to describe my sister's wedding day, which took place a few years ago in the town where I grew up.

我要描述的（家庭庆祝）是我姐姐的婚礼，那是几年前在我长大的城市举行的。

For my sister it was the biggest and most important day of her life.

对于我姐姐来说，这是她人生中最重要的一天。

who was there

I think there were around 100 people at the marriage ceremony, which was held in a restaurant.

我感觉当时有大概一百人出席了结婚典礼，是在一个餐厅举行的。

Even more people came to the party, or the wedding reception as we call it, after the ceremony.

甚至有更多人在典礼结束之后来，他们来参加的是我们一般所说的婚宴接待。

Of course, most members of my family were there, as well as the groom's family and a collection of the bride and groom's friends and colleagues.

当然，大多数参加的人都是我的家人，新郎的家人，还有新郎新娘的朋友和同事们。

what you did at this celebration

To make the celebration special, we did what families normally do.

为了让典礼特别，我们做了一般家庭在（准备结婚庆典）时所做的事。

My mother made sure that the reception venue was nicely decorated - there were flowers everywhere!

我妈妈（负责）确保婚礼现场精美的布置，现场到处都是花。

Obviously we all dressed for the occasion, and there were bridesmaids, gifts, a huge wedding cake, and so on.

当然我们都为了典礼精心打扮了一番，还有伴娘，礼物，一个很大的结婚蛋糕等等。

and explain why this celebration was held

I enjoyed the occasion because it was great to see my sister so happy on her big day.

我很喜欢这个场合,因为见到我姐姐在她大喜的日子里这么高兴特别好。

The ceremony was perfect, and we all had a fantastic time at the reception.

结婚典礼很完美，我们都在婚宴上度过了一个很好的时光。

It's rare for me to see all of my family and friends together in one place, so that's probably what made the day so memorable for me.

对于我来说，我很少看见我所有的家人和朋友聚集在一个地方，所以这可能是为什么那一天这么记忆犹新。
