I really believed that it would show up at some point, and did my best to not give it too much energy. Today, when I was getting dressed, I grabbed a pair of jeans out of my closet, and the clicker fell out of one of the pockets. When this happened, it felt thrilling on the one hand, but it felt totally natural on the other hand...like, yes, of course, I knew you would show up sometime or other.
