Friendship Is Like the Breeze Friendship is like the breeze, You can't hold it, Smell it, Taste it, Or know when it's coming, But you can alw you'll always know it's there, It may come and then go, But you can know it'll always be back. Words Like Freedom There are words like Freedom Sweet and wonderful to say On my heartstrings freedom sings All day every day There are words like That almost make me cry If you had known what I know You would know why. SONG I love all that thou lovest, Spirit of Delight! The Pride of Youth Proud Maisie is in the wood, Walking so early; Sweet Robin sits on the bush, Singing so rarely. “tell me ,thou bonny bird, when shall I marry me?” -“when six braw gentlemen kirkward shall carry ye.” “who makes the bridal bed, birdie, say truly?” -“The gray-headed sexton That delves the grave duly. “The glowworm o’er grave and stone Shall light thee steady; The owl from the steeple sing, Welcome, proud lady.”
Dreams Hold fast to dreams For if dreams die Life is a broken-winged bird That cannot fly. Hold fast to dreams For when dreams go Life is a barren field Frozen with snow. If I could save time in a bottle If I could save time in a bottle the first thing that I'd like to do is to save every day until eternity passes away just to spend them with you If I could make days last forever if words could make wishes come true I'd save every day like a treasure and then again I would spend them with you

Living Life Over
If I had my life to live over...I would have talked less and listened more. I would have invited friends over to dinner even if the carpet was strained and the sofa faded. I would have taken the time to listen to my grandfather ramble about his youth. I would never have insisted the car windows be rolled up on a summer day because my hair had just been teased and sprayed. I would have burned the pink candle sculpted like a rose before it melted in storage. I would have sat on the lawn with my children and not worried about grass stains. I would have cried and laughed less while watching television - and more while watching life. I would have gone to bed when I was sick instead of pretending the earth would go into a holding patter if I were not there for the day. I would never have bought anything just because it was practical, would not show soil or was guaranteed to last a life time. There would have been more "I love yous" ... more "I'm sorrys"... but mostly, given another shots at life, I would seize every minute... look at it and really see it...live it...and never give it back. |
