How do I improve my English?
Answer #2 While there are plenty of free resources online, and also several sites which offer language exchanges, these do suffer from some limitations. For example, with free resources, its hard to tell what's good and what's bad - and you may end up swamped with so many resources that you don't follow any particular one with discipline. Also, with free resources, people tend to follow their own pace - this can lead to a lack of discipline and schedules for many people, which leads to a very slow pace of learning or worse - frustration at not picking up the language quickly. With language exchange sites, again, there have been some limitations - for example, many people are there just to make friends, and not necessarily to learn a new language with discipline. This is fine if you have the same objective, but if you are looking for serious lessons for professional or personal development, online professional tutors can usually give you lessons in a much more structured manner, and teach you the rules as well as their application. All of this can speed up the learning process and what you would learn in months of self paced learning or on a language exchange, perhaps would take you only a few weeks with online professional tutors. So, my personal opinion is that for your particular need, professional English language tutors online would be most effective. There are plenty of sites which offer these services. |
