A boy fell ill. His organs were damaged by the radiationof an infrared raystove. But before the ambulancearrived, a number ofother injurieshappened to this unlucky boy over and over again. First, he was choked by some poisonous liquidfrom the kettleon the cupboard. Then hiswristskinwas burnt by electricshock. Finally, his anklewas cut by a pan.
Fortunately, the boy’s nurse gave him proper temporarytreatments according to hiscomplexsymptoms. She mildlysqueezed the poisonous liquid out of his throatand put bandagesfirmly in placeto applypressureto the ankle wound to stop bleeding. As for the burn, she usedscissorsto remove his sleeve, poured a basinof cold water over the burn to cool it and put her handsona dampblouseto cover his swollentissuetightly. She also inspired his braveryto fight against the unbearablepain. Her first aidmade a vital differencein saving his life. A ceremonywas held to honour the nurse who overcame a varietyof barriersto save the boy.

On one hand, the artists stopped paintingdelicatefigures but attempted to adoptspecial techniques to give people different visualimpacts.On the other hand, their works, including sculptures carved out of marbleor fragileclay, were all with a specificaimof showing feelings. Some conventionalscholars who were allergic toabstract art said it was evidently ridiculousand neither art nor geometry. Their Traditional ArtCommitteepredicted its soon disappearing.
But nowadays, abstract art has become part of the permanentpossessionsofcontemporarycivilization. Galleriesalong the Madison Avenuegive scores of superbexhibitions on typicalabstract works, appealing tomany who have a preferencefor abstract art. The ShadowofEgypt, a caféin this district, has become the home to those aggressiveabstract artists.Consequently, it is not a coincidencefor you to meet one of these artists of great reputationin the flesh. They are asked for signatures and given bunches of fragrantflowers plus they are given a great dealof praise by their faithfulfans.

Since childhood, Anton had often recited poems, accompanied by pianists and violinists, at wedding ceremonies before brides and bridegrooms exchanged rings. Gradually, he found writing poems the most appropriateway to conveyhis joy and sorrow. When his poemContradictoryBlankwon him a national championshipand a scholarshipto the Moscow University from a sponsor, he was just an unknown librarian. After getting his diploma, he devoted his life to writing poems. Using concretebut flexiblelanguage and the minimumof words is his style. Hetried outdifferent patterns and preferred nurseryrhymein particular. The following is atranslationof one of his works made up of3 sections:
Little sparrowwith heavy load, Ran out ofenergy and very cold; No compassand all sweatsalty, Can you go through the endlessdarkness?
