无论是在论坛里还是在反馈中，小编都经常被问到关于背单词的各种问题。 怎么背单词才比较好呢？为什么我背单词总是会忘呢？我就想在短期内快速背完一本单词书，你们为什么不能设置更高的学习量呢？我年底就要考试了，但是单词书的完成时间是11月份，难道我到考试之前都还要背新单词吗？ 没错，就是关于背单词的各种问题，但是少有人会问，我如何才能用会、用好我学过的那些单词呢？背过一些单词以后，我需要做的是什么呢？ 遗忘是人之常情，所以背单词讲究“大量重复”，但记住一个单词的意思，并不是学习一门语言的全部，要真正掌握一个单词，也不是反复背上十几二十遍就可以达成的。重要的是学以致用，从用中学。 模仿并使自己的表达更为地道，是学英语的一个必经过程。我们往往会受限于自己的应用面，而无法接触到更多地道、准确的表达方式，不仅仅是单词，更多的是短语和句子。学习地道表达法的重要性并不会因为考试难度的高低而有所改变，能用多少种不同的说法表达一个含义，却是对我们能力的一个很大的考验。 Uncomfortable:
It's natural to feel out of place in the beginning when you join a new company.
刚刚加入一家新公司，觉得有些不适应是很自然的。
注解:
feel out of place: not comfortable or suitable for a particular situation
在表达不适应某种环境时，比较容易想到的是do not adapt oneself well to，这是我们从小到大写英语作文的时候很容易用到的一个表达。除了这一类的表达法，我们还可以用到feel out of place，表示感到不自在、不自然、拘束或尴尬。
Undecided:
Either way the retail future of the area appears to be up in the air.
无论怎样，这一地区零售业的未来似乎都悬而未决。
注解:
be up in the air: if a matter is up in the air, no decision has been made, often because other matters have to be decided first.
表示尚未作出决定，我们可能会说be not decided yet，或者uncertain，此外，我们还可以用到be up in the air，前后两种表达法的差别就好比“不确定”和“悬而未决”之间的区别。
Expensive:
I spent six months going daily to the hospital and sometimes twice daily and it cost me a fortune.
我花了六个月的时间每天去一次医院，有时候一天两次，这让我花了很多钱。
注解:
cost someone a fortune: cost a lot of money, be very expensive
表示昂贵的，用的较多的还是expensive, costly，需要注意的是，有很多东西很昂贵，会花费你很多钱，但未必就是luxury的。除了这几个简单的单词，我们还可以用cost someone a fortune，表示花了一大笔钱，价格很高。
Be good at:
They must have excellent communication skills, be adept at building relationships and enjoy working as part of a team.
他们必须有良好的沟通技巧，善于建立关系，并且喜欢团队合作。
注解:
be adept at: Someone who is adept at something can do it skilfully.
很多同学学过be good at以后就一直good下去了，或者换个说法，说someone does well in something。将good这个词简单的替换一下，变成adept或者apt，瞬间就不再是小学生水平了。
Come true:
However, the plan is still in its initial stages and there is no guarantee that it will come to fruition.
然而，这个计划仍处于初始阶段，并且无法保证以后能得以实现。
注解:
come to fruition: to occur or turn out as suspected or intended
come true也是一个很多同学学过以后就一路用下来了的短语。其实除了come true，我们还有很多单词可以用，例如fulfill, accomplish, implement，而将短语本身改造一下，变成come to fruition，也会地道很多。
