——“视觉的维度-中外水彩名家邀请展”前言

 

在当今世界,现代传媒正在日益改变着人们的阅读习惯,从传统的纸媒到互联网带来的多媒体时代,我们的视觉系统已经经历了前所未有的挑战。图像时代在带给人们便利的同时,也在混淆着我们的视觉判断力,这就意味着每天要过滤掉大量的垃圾信息后才能找到自己想要的那一部分。

水彩画作为独立绘画形式的历史并不长,短短的三百年相对于人类的历史长河可能只是一个点。作为视觉艺术的一个小小分支,水彩画并非游离于艺术史之外,而是“润物细无声”,在一定的范围内悄悄地改变着人们的视觉习惯,小到你几乎没有注意到,但它确实以自己独特的方式真实地存在着。

美国作家房龙说: 艺术史的进化有高潮有低谷,它不是简单的螺旋式的上升,而更像是沙滩上的海浪一般,时而冲上海滩,时而又退回去,下一次可能又要冲向更远的海滩。

作为艺术永恒的主题,如何表达比表达什么更多地受到艺术家的重视,历代大师们无不为此奋斗终生。印象派之后,视觉艺术的丰富性已经被那些大师们以前所未有的多元化方式呈现出来。从塞尚要表达物像背后的某种东西,到马蒂斯、鲁奥、诺尔德、贾科梅蒂、弗洛伊德、巴尔蒂斯、杜马斯等诸多现代派大师,水彩只是他们的一种手段,他们将这种表达推向极致。很好地诠释了当代架上绘画的意义。

在30多年前,美国作家阿瑟·丹托已将宣告了艺术的终结,艺术史不是一部技术进化史,他站在历史哲学层面感受到了现代科技给艺术带来的冲击,却没有看到艺术家对当代科技的利用,没有看到架上绘画在21世纪的复苏。水彩画作为一种传统媒材和表达方式,它带给大众的视觉体验正在被世界上越来越多的画家不断改变和刷新。水彩画在这个语境里变得活跃起来,它在带给人们视觉体验的同时,也开始建立起一种新的图式语言,拓展了视觉的维度。微时代,对于水彩画这种新变化,我们尝试以一种新的视觉方式呈现给大众,即覆盖全球的微网络方式。

此次展览是由中国西部水彩网主办,联合近40家现代传媒共同发布的新媒体网络展,展览将通过邀请和公开征稿的方式进行,以“开放、创新、传播”为策展目标,通过互联网的无限传播,助推当代水彩艺术的发展。“视觉的维度-中外水彩名家邀请展”正是基于这样一种思考来进入人们的视野。

本次展览共收到来自国内外投稿邮件485件,其中有35份无效投稿(不符合投稿要求)遗憾提前出局,我们经过认真评选,考虑到网展的数量限制,最终选取160幅作品入选我们的这次展览。

本次展览是一种尝试,考虑到国际性、学术性、多元性,在选取作品时尽可能照顾到方方面面,但结果难以避免“以偏概全”,有不少好作品无法录入。尤其是海外部分,征稿时间恰逢西方传统节日,投稿量非常有限,这都造成此次展览的遗憾。这也是本次展览一再延迟的主要原因。
