中国玺印在艺术表现上也与其他地区古印的关注方向明显不同。中国玺印致力于文字的艺术化，从书写、布局到铸刻，都着力在比较抽象的文字结构、线条形式的表现上，涉及图像造型则以写意或夸张风格为主。因此，中国印章的形态与性质始终呈现独立发展的轨迹。 Chinese seals also differed greatly from ancient seals in other regions as regards their focus on artistic presentation: these seals were made with the aim of rendering the Chinese characters as art. In the creation of these seals, all aspects-the writing of the characters, layout, casting or engraving-focus on the abstract presentation of the structure, lines and strokes of characters. When images were involved, freehand or hyperbolic style predominated. Therefore, the form and nature of Chinese seals followed an independent course of development.
