RiChari老师来自美国，目前定居于美国南部，在美国获得了教育学硕士学位，并攻读了教育学博士学位，尤其擅长研究文化与语言多样性。曾执教于幼儿园以及6到12年级的学生，可谓教学经验丰富。

RiChari老师的课堂准备特别充分，课堂气氛非常活泼，同时课堂结构也非常清晰高效。她对小朋友们非常有耐心，能够很好地引导小朋友一步一步说出答案。在课堂上，她会使用很多辅助道具和肢体语言来帮助小朋友理解。她会给孩子充分的时间和机会去练习口头表达，在孩子分心的时候能够马上察觉并发挥创意以吸引回孩子的注意力。

Jeffery the Giant had many friends. Everyone liked Jeffery because he was so kind.

杰弗瑞有许多朋友。每一个都喜欢杰弗斯，因为他是如此的友善。

He likes to help his friends.

他喜欢帮助他的朋友。

If Peter’s ball got stuck in the tree, Jeffery would get it down.

如果彼德的球卡在树上了，杰弗瑞会把它弄下来。

'Thanks, Jeffery.' 'Oh you’re welcome, Peter.'

“谢谢，杰弗瑞。”噢，不客气，彼德。”

If Mary hurt herself, Jeffery would carry her home.

如果玛丽受了伤，杰弗瑞会带她回家。

'Oh! My leg!' 'Mary, are you OK? Here let me help you up.' 'Ouch! It hurts. I can’t walk.'

“噢！我的腿！”玛丽，你怎么样？让我帮你起来。”“哎哟！痛。我不能走了。”

'I’ll take you home.' 'Thanks, Jeffery.'

“我送你回家。”“谢谢，杰弗瑞！”

Jeffery liked all his friends, but Jeffery was sad.

杰弗瑞喜欢他所有的朋友，但是杰弗瑞是伤心的。

It was too hard for Jeffery to play with his friends, because…

对于杰弗瑞来说和他的朋友一起玩儿太难了，因为

…their hide-and-seek hiding spots were too small.

......他们的捉迷藏藏身处太小了。

…their jump ropes were too short.

……他们的跳绳太短了。

…their basketball hoops were too low.

......他们的篮球框太低了。

…their seesaws always went up, but they never came down.

......他们的跷跷板总是起来，但是从不下去。

One day Jeffery came home early. He sat down under the biggest tree he could find. He didn’t want to be at the playground anymore.

一天，  杰弗瑞回家很早。他坐在一棵他能找到的最大的树下面。他不想再去游乐场了。

'I am too big to play with my friends,' said Jeffery to himself.

“我太高大了而不能和我的朋友一起玩儿，”杰弗瑞对他自己说。

'Hi, my name is Eddy. I’m new here. Do you want to play with me?' Jeffery didn’t look up.

“嗨！我的名字是艾迪。我是新来的。你想要和我一起玩儿吗？”杰弗瑞没有向上看。

He kept his head hidden in his hands. 'I’m too big to play with anyone,' cried Jeffery.

他仍然把头埋在他的双手之间。“我太高大了不能和任何人一起玩，”杰弗瑞喊到。

'I don’t think you’re that big,' said Eddy.

“我认为你不是那么高大，”艾迪说。

'Really?' asked Jeffery hopefully.

“真的？”杰弗瑞满怀希望地问。

'Yes, really,' said Eddy. 'You’re big like me.'

“是的，真的，”艾迪说。“你像我一样高大。”

Jeffery took his head out of his hands.

杰弗瑞把他的头从手之间挪开。

'Oh, hi, 'said Jeffery shyly. 'My name is Jeffery.'

“噢，嗨，”杰弗瑞害羞地说。“我的名字是杰弗瑞。”

Eddy smiled. 'See, I am big. Why were you crying, Jeffery?'

艾迪笑道。“看，我是高大的。为什么你在哭泣，杰弗瑞？”

'Oh, I was crying because I am too big to play with my friends.'

“噢，我哭泣是因为我太高大了而不能和我的朋友一起玩。”

'You’re not too big,' said Eddy. 'Their games are just too small. Let’s go to the playground together. And I’ll show you how to make their games bigger.'

“你不是十分高大，”艾迪说。“他们的游戏只不过太小了。让我们一起去游乐场，我将让你看看如何使他们的游戏变大。”

Jeffery and Eddy went to the playground together, and Jeffery learned how to play bigger games.

杰弗瑞和艾迪一起来到游乐园，然后杰弗瑞学会了怎样玩更大的游戏。

Jeffery and Eddy became best friends.

杰弗瑞和艾迪成为了最好的朋友。

They had fun with the other children, too.

他们和其他的孩子们在一起很开心。

Jeffery was glad to have such a big friend.

杰弗瑞很高兴有如此高大的一个朋友。
