Beni Gassenbauer paints big, luminous, figurative watercolors. Being fascinated by the strong light contrasts, he chooses watercolor because it provides him the necessary transparency for painting the Mediterranean light that burst out in the brightness of the sun and penetrates the deepest shadow, creating breathtaking, intense color contrasts. Beni invites us entering ancient gates, backyards, shadowed passageways, or balconies. There, he transmits to the audience his deep feelings of quietness and peace.

Born in 1949 in France，Beni graduated from Dental Faculty, Strasbourg University. He lives in Jerusalem, Israel, since forty years. Beni’s works have been selected to participate in numerous international watercolor exhibitions, and have been collected by the Qingdao’s (China) and the Izmir’s (Turkey) museums. He is now the head of the Israeli branch of the International Watercolor Society

贝尼·格森鲍尔善于表现色彩亮丽和写实的大幅水彩画作。他选择了透明性强的水彩画来展现地中海那强烈阳光的参透性、鲜明的光影对比以及惊讶的色彩反差。其水彩画作引导我们进入古城大门、后院或阳台，或穿越阴暗的古老通道。在那里，他向观众传达他感情深处的宁静与平和。

1949年出生于法国，贝尼毕业于法国斯特拉斯堡大学的牙科学院，移居以色列耶路撒冷已四十来年。他的水彩画作多次入选参加许多国际水彩艺术展，其中作品被青岛（中国）和伊兹密尔（土耳其）博物馆收藏。他是国际水彩画协会以色列分会主席。
