steal the show 抢风头

也可以用“steal the thunder”代替，不过“steal the thunder”除了抢风头外，还有窃取他人创意或点子的意思。如：

Taylor Swift totally stole the show when she showed up at my birthday party.

泰勒丝一出现在我的生日派对上就把风头都抢走了。

It is really unethical to steal the thunder from someone else.

窃取他人的创意很不道德。

go nuts 要疯了

工作让人抓狂、消息让人疯掉等情境都很可以使用，除了“go nuts”，也可以用“go crazy”。如：

After two days of nonstop working, our crew members went nuts.

经过两天没日没夜的工作，组员们都快疯了。

suck it up 别抱怨

工作不顺利、期末考难熬？“suck it up” 就是在鼓励人忍着点并撑过难关。如：

I know the finals are tough, but you just have to suck it up and deal with it.

我知道期末考很不容易，但你就忍着点撑过去吧。

for dummies 懒人包

“for dummies”平常不会单独使用，通常前面都会接一个主题，像是“English for dummies”,“Pregnancy for dummies”等等。这个词源自于“Hungry Minds”公司出版的自学或教学参考书籍，而第一本“for dummies”是在 1991年11月出版的“DOS for dummies”。此系列的特色就是深入浅出，善于用图表介绍该领域知识，与懒人包的特性相符。如：

If you want to study abroad, you can start by reading articles， such as “Studying Abroad for Dummies."

如果你想要出国留学，可以从阅读留学懒人包下手。

You’re so full of yourself 你少臭美了

身边的人如果太自满、自我感觉过于良好时，就可以用用这句话。除了“You're so full of yourself”也可以用“Don't be a smug”。如：

A: I am a really nice boyfriend, right?

A: 我是一个超棒的男友吧？

B: You’re so full of yourself. / Don’t be a smug.

B: 你少臭美了！

caring/considerate guy 暖男

暖男的特色通常是体贴、顾家、会做饭、懂得照顾女朋友或老婆，总之是带给人温暖的男性。所以英文就可以用“caring或 considerate”来形容这位男性。如：

Does being a caring guy mean that I can finally get a girlfriend?

当一个暖男可以让我交到女朋友吗？

get up on the wrong side of the bed 起床气

这是用来形容一个人的行为突然令人无法接受或脾气突然变得很差，和中文的「起床气」有异曲同工之妙。如：

A: What’s wrong with her? She looks so mean today.

A: 她怎么了？今天看起来凶神恶煞。

B: Maybe she got up on the wrong side of the bed today.

B: 或许是她起床气还没消吧。

fat nerd 肥宅

“肥宅”在近年来突然开始大量流行，意思就是很肥的宅男。如：

I think calling people fat nerds is a type of bullying.

我认为叫别人肥宅是一种霸凌。

keep a low profile 低调

如果是形容一个人很低调，我们就可以用“keep a low profile”。但如果是要讲某个事件是低调的，会用“low-key”来形容。如：

Jolin Tsai likes to keep a low profile, so she barely shows up on TV.

蔡依林喜欢保持低调，所以很少上电视。

I told my boss that I was sick, so this party is a really low-key event.

我跟老板请病假，所以这场派对办得相当低调。

funny crap 废到笑

何谓废到笑？就是看到真的很废的东西，但就是会莫名戳中笑点！“crap”本身有屎、垃圾的意思，也就是废物。只要在 YouTube 上面搜寻“funny crap”，你一定会对这个词有深刻的体悟。如：

There are lots of funny crap on YouTube .

YouTube 里面有很多废到笑的影片。
