This would be a matchup you would expect to see in a great NBA Finals. This Thunder team is plenty good enough to win the title in most seasons. It's crazy looking at what the Warriors have gone through the past 2 seasons in comparison with what OKC has gone through over the past 6 years. The Thunder have repeatedly ran into all time great teams/been destroyed by injuries. 2010 lost to NBA Champion Lakers 2011 lost to NBA Champion Mavs in WCF 2012 beat 2011 Champion Mavs, beat 2010 Champion Lakers, beat ATG Spurs team that was considered a near lock to win the title, lost to 2012 NBA Champion Heat in NBA Finals 2013 Westbrook Injury 2014 lost to NBA Champion Spurs in 6 in WCF, Ibaka injury 2015 Durant injury 2016 beat ATG 67 win Spurs in WCSF, face 73 win Warriors in WCF They have made the Finals once and have lost to the NBA Champion every single year they had a healthy team. And not only NBA Champions, teams that are considered great NBA champions. 2010 Lakers, 2012 Heat, 2014Spurs..Those are some of the best teams of the past 20 years. And the 2011 Mavs were on a historic role. This year they beat a team with the 7th best +/- in NBA history in the 2nd round without HCA and face a team that has more wins than any team in NBA history. They have literally only lost to the team that won the NBA title. It's obvious people underestimated OKC because of their 55 wins in comparison with 73 win Golden State and 67 win San Antonio. We ignored the fact that they had a 1st year coach and were re-integrating Durant back into the system after his injury.
