但是我不确定。后来问了外国朋友Adrain.他的理解跟我开始的理解不一样。他的理解是正确的。我把正确的打在如下。

 

opt-out是名词， 有giveup something和turn away from something 的意思，这里opt-outs表示原则(复数)的退出,也即在原则方面让步。

legitimatize two sets of rules表示使两套互相矛盾的规则都合理。

我也相信允许在原则上让步将会使两套互相矛盾的规则都合理,并且使得我们极度坦诚的处事方式陷于危险之中。
